Write-a-Thon Crosses Divisions and Continents

Steward's 3rd annual Write-a-Thon held on Friday, April 4, had students, faculty, and staff across all divisions enjoying a morning filled with creative writing excercises, good camaraderie, and just plain old fun.

This year's writing theme centered around the upcoming 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Students paired with partners from grades K-12 visited writing stations across the campus that stretched their minds and writing skills in areas like poetry, fictional marathon writing, fortune cookie writing, and others.

The day offered the opportunity for students to experience cross-grade collaboration, writing creativity, and public speaking. It was great, too, to see the students, faculty, and staff having such a good time.

Mrs. Oliff, Assistant Director of Admissions, and Mr. Chapman, Middle School History teacher, are amused with a student's acrostic poem.
