Arts at Steward
Whether setting the stage, striking a chord, creating a masterpiece or simply exploring the talents of the individual, the Steward School believes its students in the Arts program gain an insight into themselves. The arts develop important life skills such as focus, concentration, imagination, discipline, and cooperation necessary for the students to succeed in academic areas as well as everyday life experiences.

The Steward School places emphasis on the individual student and his/her unique abilities. This gives each student a chance to build his/her self-esteem by having his/her moment in the sun. Through the teaching of the professional elements in the classroom and in performance, the student gains a sense of pride in his/her own achievement, thus leading to self-discovery as well as building self-esteem. The Steward School challenges each student to set high goals, reach beyond perceived limits, and encourage him/her to think creatively. The arts are necessary for the overall development of the well-rounded, well-developed student.
