SEED is a unique program developed at The Steward School. The acronym SEED stands for Stewardship, Encouragement, Enrichment, and Discovery. The SEED curriculum is specifically designed to help students, parents, faculty, and members of our community define the values of respect, responsibility, honor, and compassion.
A variety of interactive programs are held throughout each school year by trained facilitators and/or professional experts. They highlight core development issues, stimulate parent/teacher dialogue and teach skills that encourage healthy lifestyle choices and decision making.
These programs are, unless otherwise noted, open to the public. We invite members of the community to attend.

Friday Forums
Friday Forums are an opportunity for us to gather as a community, with Maddie Chasen, our SEED coordinator (and Upper and Middle School Counselor), and discuss the practical application of concepts we’ve been introduced to through parenting programs. The real value of these programs is in how we use them in the Steward School Community and in whether they help us better understand our children and our roles as parents and teachers.

1. When in doubt, I will bet on the truth.
2. I will share from my own experiences (not those of others.)
3. I will listen and not act defensively.
4. I will speak for myself, be specific, and stay on topic.
5. I will support and challenge the best from others in this group.
