The Steward School is unlike any other school you’ve encountered — it’s well-rounded, intimate, innovative, and a true community, and most of all, every decision is made with our students at the forefront. We get to know them well, and as a result, they develop the confidence to challenge themselves and express themselves, knowing they are supported at each step of their journeys.
Having worked in the education arena for more than 30 years, including time in New England and abroad, I can tell you that Steward is unique. From our emphasis on educating the whole child and advocating the "best fit" for college applications to our devotion to community engagement, solid foundational skills, fine arts and athletics, and research, design, and innovation, we carefully and intentionally guide our students through their JK-12 careers, preparing them for a lifetime of learning and success. There are no other small schools in central Virginia that can offer such a comprehensive program.
I invite you to come see us—attend a performance in the Lora M. Robins Theatre; cheer on the state-champion Spartans at an athletic game; check out the projects in the Bryan Innovation Lab; or visit a classroom to see what the best and brightest are learning today. We believe the possibilities are limitless for every student, and I know you’ll see that when you arrive on our campus.
I look forward to meeting you.
