Standout Spartan: Harrison Gelber '21

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, junior Harrison Gelber earned first chair in the 2020 District One Symphonic Band's percussion section, a distinction that allowed him to audition for All-Virginia Band. We are pleased to hear that Harrison has now earned a position in the 2020 All-Virginia Symphonic Band! For this state-level competition, Harrison competed against over 75 top percussionists from 16 districts across the state. He is the first Spartan to ever earn a position in the All-Virginia Symphonic Band, and this is his second year performing with this prestigious ensemble.
