Standout Spartan: Bentley Mescall '19

Travel and modeling make for an exciting career.
“I was a lifer at Steward,” says Bentley Mescall, a proud alumna. She played on the varsity volleyball team for four years, was a member of the swim team and the Special Olympics club, and was a member of the Amnesty International club.

“One of the best things about my time at Steward was being able to explore so many of my interests,” says Ms. Mescall, citing Steward’s small class sizes, which let her dive into subjects she enjoyed and build relationships with peers and teachers. The Steward community was also supportive of Bentley’s modeling career. She signed with IMG Models, based in New York, London, Paris, Milan, and Sydney, when she was 12 years old. “Steward made it possible for me to travel and work while I was still in school,” she notes.

After working in Australia for a few months before the pandemic hit, Ms. Mescall moved to New York, where she works full-time as a model and is pursuing a degree in psychology. She recently wrapped up Paris Fashion Week and hopes to work in Spain in November.

“Traveling and working has been such an amazing experience, and I can’t thank Steward enough for letting me explore my independence during my time there,” she says.
