Congratulations to the following Steward artists who received Regional Scholastics Arts Awards for their art submissions: Anne Marshall Both ’22 (Honorable Mention); Emma Herzog ’24 (Honorable Mention); Bella Topich ’23 (Silver Key Award, Honorable Mention); Annabel Wang ’22 (Honorable Mention, Most Promising Artist Award); and Maddie Hayden ’27 (Gold Key Award).

The Gold Key Award winners and special award winners will be recognized at a virtual award ceremony on February 12 (stay tuned for the Zoom link), and their work will be on display at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond February 5-21.

The Scholastic Awards in Virginia is the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative students in grades 7–12.

Middle School/Upper School Visual Arts Teacher Sejal Vaywala said that she is proud of all of the award winners for their achievements. “The arts are vital to students' growth and learning,” she noted. “The arts help people express their own ideas, thoughts, and feelings, and they keep everyone's imagination alive!”
