Standout Spartans: Model UN Conference Award Winners
The Steward School
Students take on challenging global issues.
Steward Model United Nations (Model UN) took 27 Middle and Upper School students to the Maggie Walker Governor’s School Model UN conference on March 25 and 26. While all participating students should be commended for their hard work and engagement with challenging global issues, several students were specifically recognized with conference awards.
Congratulations to Rafi Zepeda ’26 and Gracie Hayden ’27, who earned a Verbal Commendation representing Mali in the Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian Committee; David Cantor ’22, who earned an Honorable Mention representing Argentina on the International Court of Justice; Claire Heaton ’24, who earned the Outstanding Delegate award as Ptolemy in the First Triumvirate (Crassus) joint crisis committee, and Charlotte Olexy ’24, who earned the Best Delegate gavel as Publius Clodius Pulcher in the First Triumvirate (Pompey) joint crisis committee. We are excited about the future of Model UN at Steward!
