Standout Spartan: Jordyn Adkins '25

Jordyn Adkins ’25 has been dancing since she was two years old. Jazz, pointe, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop … Jordyn does it all! She was recently named Dancer of the Year by Legacy School of Dance, which she has attended since age 9. The award recognizes talent as well as sportsmanship. 

“Dancing is my life,” said Jordyn. “I love everything about being a dancer. Along with health benefits, it relieves stress. It's a form of art that you can express yourself with.” She is duly proud of being named Dancer of the Year. “It shows that I exhibit grace on and off stage and that I care greatly about dancing and people.” Jordyn’s award was covered in the December 2022 issue of James River Neighbors, which cited her commitment to dance as well as her resilience.
