Friday is packed with spirited fun. Join us for a pep rally, ice cream truck , a golf-cart decorated homecoming parade and sporting events in both Soccer and Volleyball. 

  • 2:30-3 p.m. Pep Rally 
  • 3:10 p.m. LS dismissal
  • 3:20 p.m. MS & US dismissal
  • 3:10 p.m. Ice Cream Truck on Waddell Terrace
  • 3:45 p.m. Homecoming parade
  • 4 p.m.  Boys Varsity Soccer vs. North Cross
  • 4:30 p.m. JV Volleyball Match vs. Nansemond Suffolk Academy
  • 6 p.m. Varsity Volleyball Match vs. Nansemond Suffolk Academy

Saturday, October 19

Your old favorites--including inflatables, carnival games,  bake sale, food trucks, music, class fundraisers, and more--are part of the festivities from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. This is the first year we've been able to reserve a virtual reality experience from Escape Reality VA and it sounds awesome! The Friends & Family Mini-Market, Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Painting sponsored by ArtLink (pre-order your pumpkins on the Registration form), Pocket Prizes with prizes for little ones round out the fun!

Wristbands: for children ages 4 through Grade 8, a wristband is required for the carnival games and inflatables. Children 3 and younger, Steward Upper School students, and adults are free. Wristbands will be available at SpartaFest for $25/child or $65/family.

  • 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. ArtLink Pumpkin Painting 
  • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Face Painting
  • 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Bake Sale 
  • 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Spartan Shop, Food Truck, US fundraisers, and food sales
  • 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. SpartaFest games & activities. Pocket prizes will be available from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Carnival games gift card winners will be drawn every half-hour between 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. MS kickball game
  • 1-2 p.m. Student choral and instrumental performances (Waddell Terrace) 
  • 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. US Homecoming Dance (Athletic Center)

SpartaFest 2019  Shirt Information 

This year’s shirt is a heather gray, long-sleeve shirt with the Spartan logo on the front and the main design on the back.  The shirt is a soft Bella + Canvas tri-blend, long-sleeve crew shirt (50% polyester, 25% combed ringspun cotton, 25% rayon jersey). The cost is $20 each for youth sizes and $25 each for adult sizes. Faculty and staff may purchase one adult shirt at a special discounted rate. Pre-ordering guarantees your size will be available. Pre-ordered shirts will be delivered to the student's division during the first week of school. SpartaFest wristbands will be available for purchase in the fall. There will be several opportunities to wear your SpartaFest t-shirt this fall, including Break the Dress Code Days on Wednesday, September 18, and Wednesday, October 2, so get yours today!
