Whirled Peace Day

On September 22, 2025, The Steward School will celebrate Whirled Peace Day — an annual event loved by all. Lower School students will create pinwheels (symbols of peace), and during Community Time on September 22, they will gather outside to “plant” their pinwheels as a visual reminder of the power of community.

Each year for Whirled Peace Day, the Steward community partners with an organization. This year's partner, for the second consecutive year, is Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond. Spartans from all divisions are asked to donate individually wrapped snack items and other supplies to benefit this year's Whirled Peace Day partner. In the past, Steward has collaborated with Richmond Children’s Hospital, Henrico Police and Fire, the James River Foundation, and The Anna Julia Cooper School.
