Whirled Peace Day

Each September, The Steward School celebrates Whirled Peace Day — an annual event loved by all. Lower School students create pinwheels (symbols of peace), and during Community Time, they will gather outside to “plant” their pinwheels as a visual reminder of the power of community.

Each year for Whirled Peace Day, the Steward community partners with an organization. In the past, Steward has collaborated with Richmond Children’s Hospital, Henrico Police and Fire, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond, the James River Foundation, and The Anna Julia Cooper School.
