Whirled Peace Day

On September 22, 2025 The Steward School will celebrate Whirled Peace Day — an annual event loved by all. Students in Middle School and Upper School art classes, as well as all Lower School students, will create a pinwheel (a symbol of peace). During Community Time on September 22, students will gather outside to “plant” their pinwheels and join in songs that celebrate peace.

Each year for Whirled Peace Day, the Steward community partners with an organization. In the past, Steward has collaborated with The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond, Richmond Children’s Hospital, Henrico Police and Fire, the James River Foundation, and The Anna Julia Cooper School.
