• "Arsenic and Old Lace"

  Drama critic Mortimer Brewster’s engagement announcement is upended when he discovers a corpse in his elderly aunts' window seat. Mortimer rushes to tell Abby and Martha before they stumble upon the body themselves, only to learn that the two old women aren’t just aware of the dead man in their parlor ... they killed him! Between his aunts’ penchant for poisoning wine, a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and another brother using plastic surgery to hide from the police — not to mention Mortimer’s own hesitancy about marriage — it’ll be a miracle if Mortimer makes it to his wedding. "Arsenic and Old Lace" is a classic black comedy.

• "Spamalot"

  The winter mainstage production will be "Spamalot," directed by Middle School Theatre Teacher Susan Sanford. Inspired by the classic comedy film, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," the musical follows King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table and their quest to find the holy grail. Hilarious songs, fantastic characters, and irreverent jokes about Broadway, killer rabbits, and flying cows will keep you laughing from beginning to end. Note: "Spamalot" is suitable for Middle/Upper School students, and adults.

  
  
  

• "Oliver!"

  Lionel Bart's classic musical based on the Charles Dickens novel, "Oliver Twist," tells the story of Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse who becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance among a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow, takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family. "Oliver!" is a musical theatre masterpiece, perfectly showcasing the talents of a large ensemble cast as they bring these classic characters and a classic score to life.
