  • Visiting Steward

    Steward's campus is open full-time this fall to students, faculty, and staff as well as visitors by appointment only.  Our admissions team looks forward to welcoming prospective families. To find Steward, set your GPS to 11600 Gayton Road, Richmond, VA 23238. We are located in Richmond’s west end, approximately 10 minutes from Short Pump, 15-20 minutes from Midlothian, and 30 minutes from the Fan or downtown.

  • FROM CHARLOTTESVILLE

    Take I-64 East to the Gaskins Road South exit. Follow Gaskins Road to Quioccasin Road and make a right at Gayton Crossing. Continue about two miles. The Steward School will be located on your right.
  • FROM I-288 NORTH (FROM SOUTHSIDE)

    Take Patterson Avenue/Route 6 East exit. Follow Patterson Avenue for about two miles. At the third stoplight, turn left onto Pump Road. At the next stoplight, turn left onto Gayton Road. In one mile, The Steward School will be on the right.
  • FROM RICHMOND

    Take I-64 West to the Gaskins Road South exit. Follow Gaskins Road to Quioccasin Road and make a right at Gayton Crossing. Continue about two miles. The Steward School will be located on your right.
  • FROM WASHINGTON

    Take I-95 South to I-64 West to the Gaskins Road South exit. Follow Gaskins Road to Quioccasin Road and make a right at Gayton Crossing. Continue about two miles. The Steward School will be located on your right.

  • Lower School

    Dixon Hall, named for the School’s founder Helen Dixon, is home to the Lower School.

  • Middle School

    The Middle School building is also home to the School’s main dining commons.
  • Upper School

    The Upper School is housed in two joined buildings, which were renovated and expanded in 2009.
  • Wilton Hall

    Completed in 2002, Wilton Hall is home to the administrative offices, Middle and Upper School Library, the technology department, and a boardroom.
  • Paul R. Cramer Center for the Arts

    As the centerpiece of campus, the Cramer Center features the Arts Department, including two theatres.
  • Bryan Innovation Lab

    Located on the western corner of campus, the Bryan Innovation Lab is a hub for innovative thinking and projects.
  • Athletic Center

    The Athletic Department is headquartered in the Athletic Center, which features gymnasiums, fields, courts, a weight room, and the Spartan Shop.
  • Athletic Fields

    For outdoor sports, Steward boasts eight full-size tennis courts and four 36-foot tennis courts as well as four athletic fields for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and baseball.
  • Baseball Field

    The baseball field made Steward history in 2013 by winning the Field of the Year award from the Sports Turf Managers Association.
