Three Basketball Players Receive All-Metro Nods

Trio honored with prestigious Richmond Times-Dispatch accolade for 2020-21 play.
Steward's varsity basketball program has had no shortage of standout players over the years, collecting dozens of district-, state-, and conference-level honors to prove it. We are proud to announce that in this year's abbreviated basketball season, we once again had members from both our varsity boys and girls basketball teams make the Richmond Times-Dispatch's All-Metro team, which was shortened to one team with honorable mentions instead of the usual three.

For the boys, Curtis Blair '23 was one of only five players named to the All-Metro team after averaging 17 points per game this season. Curtis is the only sophomore to make this year's All-Metro team. Zach Rosenthal '21, who has chosen to play basketball for Roanoke College next year, received an honorable mention.

Sherese Pittman '21 was one of the five players named to the All-Metro girls basketball team for a season in which she was also named the State Invitational MVP as well as being nominated to play in the McDonald's All-American Game. Averaging just under 18 points per game this season, Sherese is committed to play basketball for James Madison University next year.

Congratulations to all three Spartans for being honored!
