Standout Spartan: Adhya Yaratha '23

The Spartan’s talent is en pointe.

Adhya Yaratha ’23 has been a dancer for 13 years, and for much of that time, she dreamed of playing the lead role in The Nutcracker ballet. Her hard work and determination paid off recently when she landed the role of Clara in The Richmond Ballet’s production of this timeless treasure.

“It was an extremely surreal moment,” said Adhya. “Being Clara is something I have worked toward for a very long time, so it is very rewarding to reach this goal.”

At Steward, Adhya is a member of Model UN, Steward Ink, the Entrepreneurship Program, the Global Awareness Club, the Student Council Association, and the Student Life Committee. “The best thing about being a Spartan is the amazing Steward community,” she said.
