The Steward School’s Parents Association
(PA) is nothing short of amazing. This group of spirited volunteers, led by 2021-22 President Kimberlee Magrill
(mother of Max ’24
, and Jack ’26
), works incredibly hard, sharing their creativity, energy, and time throughout the year — always with the goal of making the Steward experience better than ever.
The PA raises funds through a variety of events, and the money raised enhances the Steward campus in lots of ways. Most recently, the PA’s efforts significantly improved the School’s Middle School and Upper School science labs.
In the two Middle School Labs, new flooring and chairs, plus sleek tables, accessible sinks, and a storage cabinet make experimenting and collaborating easier for our student-scientists. The tables are movable and can be reconfigured, giving faculty flexible lesson options; and fresh paint makes the lab an inspiring place to teach and learn.
Thanks to the PA’s generosity, the Upper School biology lab also got a big refresh. New tabletops are heat- and chemical-resistant, and the tables are now movable; several are also accessible. In addition, the flooring was repaired, and new chairs offer comfortable seating. The biology lab improvements mirror the updates that were done in 2019 to the Upper School chemistry lab; that project was also made possible by the PA’s remarkable fundraising.
The Parents Association at The Steward School
This year we are thrilled to extend a blue-and-gold welcome to Kristen McGregor (parent of Oliver ’26) as the new president of the Parents Association.
Every Steward parent is automatically a member of the Parents Association. There are no dues required to participate, and all parents are welcome to lend a helping hand with PA-sponsored social events, fundraisers, and educational opportunities. From Fall and Spring Socials to SpartaFest to Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week … the Parents Association makes fun and fabulous things happen at Steward! Find out more
about how you can meet other parents as you share your time and talent through participation in the PA.
