Niche is the market leader in connecting colleges and schools with students and families. The site features more than 140 million reviews of schools nationwide. The “Richmond Area” category includes independent schools both larger and smaller than Steward. The site does not rank Lower and Middle Schools; the two categories Steward won are the only ones for which we are eligible.
We've earned this ranking by scoring highly in a variety of factors that aim to capture what it’s like to attend Steward. Niche’s data scientists and user researchers rigorously analyze data and user opinions to assess the key aspects of K-12 schools. Data is collected from reviews and survey responses from students and parents. Survey data topics include assessment results; racial and economic diversity; facilities; clubs and activities; and athletics.
“We have always known that The Steward School is a wonderful place to learn and grow,” said Head of School Dan Frank. “We are so proud of our students, faculty, and staff for earning this national distinction. Also, we are grateful to the community members who shared positive reviews on Niche, which helped lead to this recognition.”
Zak Qureshi ’24 said, “I’m so excited about this news. We deserve it because Steward has such a sense of community.” Zak said his relationships with his classmates and teachers are an essential part of his Steward experience. “I know everyone in my classes, and clubs, sports, and community service are a big part of my School life.”
Thank you to our School community for working hard every day to make Steward worthy of national attention.
