Wellness Month

Be well, Spartans!

The Center for Engagement has designated the month of February as Steward Wellness Month.

Each week will have activities for Mindful Monday, Talk it Out Tuesday (dialogue prompts), Wellness Wednesday, Thoughtful Thursday (acts of kindness or gratitude), and Healthy Habits Friday.

A weekly email will be sent to parents on Monday of each week with activities, resources, and ideas to use at home. The month will conclude with a virtual presentation for parents (part of Steward’s Parent Speaker Series) at noon on Thursday, February 27 by JK-12 Health and Wellness Coordinator Catherine Graves ’98. As a family, make a kindness jar for the ideas you generated yesterday. Write the kindness  ideas down on slips of paper (or cut out hearts) and place them in a jar or glass. Each day, choose three acts from the jar OR write down other acts of kindness that you did that day. At the end of February, look back and see what acts of kindness your family has completed. You can either keep these slips of paper and add them to the jar each month or sprinkle them like confetti!
