The Steward campus was filled with Spartan magic during the School’s 50th Anniversary Homecoming Weekend, which took place October 14-16 and followed a terrific Spirit Week. Families, alumni, staff, faculty, and friends celebrated all weekend with friendship, food, and loads of blue-and-gold spirit.
Trucks and Shucks, an annual fundraising event hosted by the Alumni Association, kicked off Homecoming Weekend. Held on Waddell Terrace, delicious food (including oysters!), rousing music, and gorgeous weather made for a perfect evening for alumni and parents (270 in all!) to mingle, pose for photos, reminisce about years gone by, and toast the School’s milestone birthday.
On Saturday, the campus buzzed with activity as families and friends had a blast at SpartaFest, a Steward tradition hosted by the Parents Association. Featuring carnival games, a bake sale, train rides, a climbing wall, food trucks, music, pumpkin painting, and more, this year’s SpartaFest was extra special. Its return to campus, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, was a wonderful way to bring the community together. More than 500 people attended SpartaFest this year!
Throughout the weekend, alumni reconnected and reminisced at class reunions off campus. On Sunday morning, alumni gathered in the Carolyn R. Brandt Gallery for an Alumni Brunch and to enjoy “A Year of Alumni Art,” a rotating exhibit.
A huge Sparty thank you to all who made Homecoming Weekend a success!
