Hardworking Spartan named a Richmond Forum Scholar
Every spring, the Richmond Forum provides the opportunity for high-achieving rising juniors from the area to apply to be a Richmond Forum Scholar. Only five students are selected for this prestigious honor, which allows them to interact with world-famous keynote speakers and work behind the scenes within the Richmond Forum. Congratulations to Henry Pietrantoni ’28, who was selected as a 2026 Richmond Forum Scholar following a rigorous application process.
This year’s Forum speakers include Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Dr. Laurie Santos, and Cher.
Henry said, “I am most looking forward to broadening my perspective, learning from inspiring leaders, and growing alongside a community of curious, motivated Richmond Forum Scholars. Since I began attending the Forum in the ninth grade, I’ve known that the Richmond Forum Scholars Program is an opportunity I wanted to pursue.” Being selected as a scholar, he added, “represents an opportunity to continue learning beyond the classroom and be part of a community that will challenge me to think more deeply and lead with purpose.”
Social Studies Teacher Jim Haske, who sponsors the Upper School Richmond Forum Club, said, “Henry is extremely deserving of this recognition. This unique opportunity will give Henry a chance to continue to meet like-minded students from around the city and further develop his leadership and facilitation skills.”
Henry, who was named an Impact Scholar in 2024, is a Spartan through and through: He’s a member of the varsity cross country team, Model United Nations team, and Steward Student Council Association. He also tutors Lower School students and volunteers as a Summer Experience camp counselor.
Upper Schoolers who are interested in joining the Richmond Forum Club are invited to email Mr. Haske.
