Steward Launches Age-Level Customized “I Am a Spartan” Frameworks
Connecting core principles at every developmental age
This fall, Steward is unveiling the latest iteration of our ongoing values work: age-level-appropriate versions of the “I Am a Spartan” community vision framework.
Originating from our strategic plan, Compass 2028, together we defined six core values that form the bedrock of our culture: Academic Achievement, Care & Respect, Civil Discourse, Individuality, Innovation, and Inspiration.
While the community-wide “I Am a Spartan” declaration launched last year established a shared vision for community members, this new update tailors that language so students can connect with these core principles at every developmental stage.

Recognizing that students’ understanding of language, community, and personal responsibility deepens as they grow, we have created four targeted versions of the framework:

Living Our Values Daily
This specialized language will be seamlessly woven into daily campus life throughout the academic year — serving as a foundation for classroom instruction, advisory discussions, athletic coaching, disciplinary guidance, and informal conversations.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to adopt these shared values at home as well. Printed one-pagers will be made available to families at upcoming campus events.
Together, these tailored frameworks reinforce a simple truth: Our shared values bind us together and remind us what it means to be a Spartan.
