Congratulations to Jennifer Lujan ’27, who was invited to sing the National Anthem at the November 11 Virginia Purple Heart Parking Sign Ceremony at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond. The event honored Virginia's combat-wounded veterans, and attendees included senior state leaders, the Benedictine Corps of Cadets, and members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Jennifer, who has been singing since she was three years old, is a dedicated member of Steward’s Upper School Choir. “I most enjoy being able to share the beauty of music with my peers,” she said. She has also performed in numerous Steward theatre productions, most recently “One Hit Wonder.”
At the Veterans Day event, Jennifer said she felt “very proud” when she looked out at the audience while she was singing the National Anthem. “I felt grateful for the fantastic opportunity to honor our veterans,” she added.
Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your talent with the Steward community and beyond!
