  • Open Lab Tuesdays at the Bryan Innovation Lab

    Come make something awesome!
The Bryan Innovation Lab is open every Tuesday after school for Middle/Upper School students, plus all faculty and families, to explore, tinker, and create. (Please note on the schedule that there are special days called Workshop Tuesdays, when Lower Schoolers are welcome to participate.) Open Lab is a space to experiment, solve problems, and bring ideas to life — from quick personal projects to long-term builds.

  • Why Open Lab?

    Open Lab embodies the Bryan Innovation Lab’s belief that the most meaningful learning is experiential, interdisciplinary, and focused on real-world problem solving.

    Participants gain confidence, creativity, and skill as they:
    • Design and prototype their own ideas
    • Learn by doing and iterating
    • Collaborate across ages and disciplines
    • Use real tools and technologies to make a tangible impact

  • Two Ways To Join

    Workshop Tuesdays – First Tuesday of every month

    Learn a new tool or technique through a guided, hands-on project. Each session focuses on a specific skill and ends with something you can take home — a laser-cut keychain, a light-up ornament, a simple circuit, or another creative build. Open to all ages!

    Open Lab Time – All other Tuesdays

    Drop in, collaborate, and make at your own pace. Work on passion projects, prototype an invention, 3D print a replacement part, or just explore what’s possible in the lab. Open to Middle/Upper School students, plus all parents, faculty, and staff.

  • Who Can Participate

    • Middle and Upper School students: Drop-in access — come when you can.
    • Faculty and parents: Drop-in access — come when you can.
    • Lower School students: Join Workshop Tuesdays or schedule a time to work during open sessions.
