Steward's Class of 2025 Alumni Inspiration Day took place on Friday, January 17, 2025. The day features the return of alumni in varied career fields, who are invited to campus for small-group sessions with the seniors. This year's event featured a panel of Alumni Board members who shared advice on networking, job searching, college internships, and post-grad life.
The senior parade took place on April 17, 2025. All our Lower, Middle, and Upper School students had the opportunity to cheer on the seniors and show their love.
Senior parents were also invited to attend. The parade began a little after 10 a.m., and seniors paraded down the Colonnade and around the service road. Parents gathered around Waddell Terrace to see the parade from the Colonnade view and then made their way to the service road, where the parade concluded.
The senior egg hunt took place on the same day as the parade at Deep Run Park. Senior parents were invited to join the cookout lunch and watch the egg hunt.
A change this year is that the school will not provide graduation yard signs. Senior yard signs began during the pandemic as a way to celebrate our seniors when we could not gather in person; we are happy to have returned to in-person gatherings and are putting our resources of time and budget toward those celebrations.
The Upper School Recognition Ceremony will take place on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 8 a.m. in the Lora M. Robins Theatre. This event will be livestreamed.
Please note: Due to limited seating, only parents of award winners are invited to attend. Upper School Division Assistant Lee Healey will reach out to those parents to let them know.
A day of special programming to assist with helping seniors on their next chapter is scheduled for Monday, May 19 at 10 a.m. (after the conclusion of the Upper School Recognition Ceremony).
Senior Breakfast/Predictions and Head of School’s Holiday will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The day will kick off with the Steward School Alumni Association Senior Breakfast hosted by the Steward School Alumni Board in the Middle School Dining Commons. Please arrive by 7:45 a.m. for breakfast, which will be served to seniors and their parents. This breakfast will include a special welcome to the Alumni Association from the Alumni Board President. The Alumni Association Senior Breakfast will be followed by Senior Predictions in the Lora M.Robins Theatre at 8:35 a.m. Note: Parents are encouraged to park on either side of Ryandale Road or in the Lower School lot on Gayton Road.
Seniors will then have a brief Baccalaureate rehearsal prior to departing for Head of School's Holiday. The rehearsal will take place in the Lora M. Robins Theatre from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
UPDATE: Given the rain forecast and the James River water level, here is an update on the Head of School's Holiday trip. We will begin at Bingo Beer Co. for arcade games and lunch, followed by an afternoon in Carytown, including a live rehearsal performance and Q&A at Spacebomb recording studio.
The trip departs from the Upper School parking lot at 10:15 a.m. and students will return to school around 3:30 p.m. Dress code for the day: Students need to follow this year’s typical dress-down day protocol and rain jackets are recommended for walking around Carytown. Students may also want to bring spending money for shopping.
All seniors must attend a MANDATORY Graduation rehearsal on Thursday, May 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the multipurpose gym. Junior marshals will also need to be in attendance.
Baccalaureate will be held in the Lora M. Robins Theatre on Thursday, May 22 at 4:30 p.m. The event will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person, and the Baccalaureate Reflections video will be uploaded to this page.

Graduation and Handicapped Parking/Seating Needs
Reserved seating for EIGHT guests per graduate is determined by student lottery drawing. Families will be directed to their reserved seats upon arrival. There is additional overflow seating in the back. The event will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
Parents and guests should plan to arrive early, as parking is limited. The Upper School parking lot will be reserved for handicapped parking, senior students, and parents of seniors. Families and guests should park in the Lower School lot. We strongly recommend that parents and guests arrive no later than 9:40 a.m. to allow ample time to park and find their seats.
Based on the seating lottery that took place in the fall, a link to the seating chart will be available by May 19. View the seating chart here.
Seating of guests will be stopped at 9:55 a.m., and the doors will be closed to allow for the senior processional. If you arrive after 9:55 a.m., you will need to wait until the processional has finished before you will be allowed into the gym.
Handicapped Seating: Please contact Executive Assistant Taylor Brewer (taylor.brewer@stewardschool.org) if someone in your family will be attending in a wheelchair. It is very important that we know ahead of time in order to accommodate guests in wheelchairs due to fire code regulations on aisle seats.
