School Notification

The Steward School will be opening on time tomorrow, February 2, with all carpool loops returning to normal. We are looking forward to a full school day, including all after-school activities.

Ryandale Road has been treated this weekend, but it is still icy. Please allow extra time and drive cautiously. There are no restrictions on student drivers or parking but we encourage adults to drive novice student drivers.

We understand that neighborhood streets are still in various stages of accessibility. Any weather-related absences or tardies will be excused.

Thank you for your support and patience as we safely return to school.

GR JK-12: REMINDER: ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING ON SNOW DAYS

This is a reminder that if Steward is closed for two consecutive days due to inclement weather, we will move to asynchronous learning for grades 5-12 on the second day of closure. Any additional days of consecutive closure will also be asynchronous learning days. To provide continuity, teachers will assign modified remote work, depending on the student’s grade level. Assignments will be communicated in the following manner:

Upper School: Assignments will be posted on the teacher's syllabus or MySchoolApp by 10 a.m.
Middle School: Assignments will be posted on MySchoolApp by 10 a.m.
Lower School: Students in 5th grade will receive a link in Seesaw regarding their remote learning assignments. Students in grades JK-4 will have optional (ungraded) choice board activities posted in Seesaw by 10 a.m.

Please note: Power outages may impact faculty’s ability to post assignments and connect with students. We also acknowledge that students’ ability to access and do assignments may be limited due to power outages.
