Shawn Morrison is the director of development. Shawn’s prior position as director of annual giving initially brought him to our campus to meet with employees who are University of Richmond grads, but he soon realized that we are the best small school in Richmond! An alumni of Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, Shawn earned his B.A. in mathematics with a secondary education concentration from the University of Richmond before leaving town to work at Duke University as the assistant director of the annual fund and reunion giving. He was lured back to UR in early 2007 where he rose through the Development Office, gaining experience as a major gifts officer, director of prospect research, and director of annual giving, while earning a Master of Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in philanthropy. Shawn and his wife have two sons who are Steward Spartans.
