Steward voted Best Private School and Summer Camp Program
Steward featured in Richmond Magazine Private School Guide
Richmond Magazine Survey: Steward Voted #2 Best Private School
Summer Experience program also lauded
In the August 2026 issue of Richmond magazine, The Steward School is highlighted in three places.
The issue includes the magazine’s annual Best & Worst list, and we are honored that Steward was voted #2 in the Best Private Schools category. This is the third consecutive year that Steward has made this list. In addition, our popular Summer Experience program landed us a spot in the Best Summer Camps category. The magazine highlights three winners city-wide in each category.
The magazine also includes a Private School guide and features “Future Prep,” an article that explores how schools in Virginia are approaching artificial intelligence and its place in the classroom. Head of School Dan Frank and Director of Technology Shahwar Qureshi ’90 are quoted in the article. Ms. Qureshi, who spearheaded the Steward AI Leaders (SAIL) program a couple of years ago, shared, “We are creating the playbook when it comes to AI in schools.”
In an email to the Steward community, Mr. Frank said, “Best & Worst are chosen through readers’ votes, and we are truly honored by this distinction. Caring teachers, small classes, and a close-knit community make the Steward experience exceptional.”
