Standout Spartan: Mark Carnes '20

Senior Mark Carnes was recently chosen to be The Steward School's nominee for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award. As described on the DAR website, the Good Citizen Award "is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship" such as dependability, service, and patriotism. We are so proud to hear that Mark was selected as both the chapter and the district winner in this national scholarship program. As far as Steward's social studies faculty can remember, he is the first student to reach this level, and his application now moves on to the state-wide competition. We're rooting for you, Mark!
