Standout Spartans: Laya Koder '21, Casie Steinfatt '21, and Charlotte Olexy '24

Congratulations go out to Laya Koder '21, Casie Steinfatt '21, and Charlotte Olexy '24 for qualifying for Virginia's All-State Chorus!

Seniors Laya Koder (Soprano 1 Delegate) and Casie Steinfatt (Alto 1 Delegate) made the All-State chorus team based on their audition a few months ago, while freshman Charlotte Olexy (Alto 1) also qualified as a second alternate. The top four scoring voices in each category are selected to the All-State team based on a combination of their vocal selection and sight reading skills displayed during their audition, during which they compete against the 22 other public and private high schools in our district.

Laya, Casie, and Charlotte are eligible to participate in the All-Virginia Virtual Choir Event alongside the state's top high school vocalists, tentatively scheduled for April 23-24 over Zoom. We will send more information when it becomes available, and we wish them the best of luck in this next round of performances!
